Capacity Building Programme at DAV Public School Enhances Teacher Skills

DAV Public School, Bistupur, concludes a successful two-day Capacity Building Programme for teachers, focusing on Critical and Creative Thinking Skills.

JAMSHEDPUR – DAV Public School, Bistupur, on Thursday concluded a two-day Capacity Building Programme under the aegis of COE PATNA, CBSE.

The workshop, centered on "Critical and Creative Thinking Skills," saw the participation of 60 in-service teachers from various schools across Bihar and Jharkhand.

This initiative aimed to equip educators with strategies to nurture critical and creative thinking abilities in students.

The second day of the seminar underscored the importance of these thinking modes in problem-solving, decision-making, and innovation.

Resource persons Ms. Rajni Sharma and Ms. Poonam Jha highlighted the role of critical thinking in tackling complex problems and effective decision-making.

Topics like Lateral Thinking, Design Thinking Approach, and Assessing Creativity were explored, along with Role Plays on Problem-Based Learning techniques for classroom implementation.

The programme focused on skill development, helping teachers design lesson plans that promote critical inquiry and creative problem-solving.

An emphasis was placed on creating an inclusive classroom environment that supports independent thought and the expression of innovative ideas.

The workshop fostered a collaborative atmosphere, with teachers sharing experiences and insights, creating a community of practice for ongoing collaboration and sharing best practices in education.

This Capacity Building Programme has positioned itself as a catalyst for transformative change in education, empowering teachers to instill critical and creative thinking skills in their students, thereby fostering a more dynamic and intellectually stimulating learning environment.
