Major Promotion Drive in Jharkhand Police, 93 Inspectors Elevated
In a significant administrative move, the Jharkhand government promotes 93 inspector-rank officers to DSP, impacting several districts including Jamshedpur.
RANCHI – The Jharkhand government has issued orders promoting 93 inspector-rank officers to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
This major promotional drive includes officers from diverse districts like Seraikela-Kharsawan and West Singhbhum, besides Jamshedpur.
Promoted officers will now be at Level 9, receiving salaries equivalent to DSP grade, as per government directive.
Under Secretary Shailesh Kumar Sinha’s order also mandates financial benefits from the date of appointment through promotion.
The decision follows a petition in the Jharkhand High Court demanding such promotions, leading to court-ordered action.
Prominent among the newly promoted DSPs are David Sunil Kumar Minz of the Special Branch and Rajvallabh Paswan of Palamu.
The list also includes Aruna Mishra from Rail Jamshedpur and Laxman Prasad from Chaibasa, among others.
Officers like Govardhan Oraon from Jamshedpur and Ajit Arun Ekka of the Anti Corruption Bureau are part of this significant elevation.
This move reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening its police force and acknowledging the contributions of its officers.
