BJP MLAs Protest Suspension at Jharkhand Assembly Gate

Jharkhand BJP President Babulal Marandi Joins Suspended MLAs in Dharna

In a significant political development, Jharkhand BJP President Babulal Marandi, along with three suspended party MLAs, staged a dharna at the Assembly gate on Wednesday, protesting against their suspension and demanding better youth employment policies from the Hemant Soren-led government.

RANCHI – Jharkhand BJP President Babulal Marandi sat on dharna with the three suspended BJP MLAs on Wednesday at the Assembly gate.

The BJP said that the state President Babulal Marandi along with the three MLAs who were suspended at the behest of Hemant Sarkar for raising the voice of the youth, joined the protest in front of the Assembly.

Earlier, demonstration of BJP MLAs was held in the assembly premises demanding clarification of employment policy from the anti-youth Hemant government and providing employment to lakhs of unemployed youth.

Under the leadership of State BJP President Babulal Marandi and Leader of Opposition Amar Kumar Bauri, a delegation of BJP MLAs submitted a memorandum to His Excellency the Governor and informed him about the constitutional crisis arising in Jharkhand, poor law and order and corruption.

BJP said: When BJP MLAs raised the voice of youth in the Assembly, repressive policy was adopted at the behest of Hemant government.

It may be recalled here that on the third day of the winter session of the Jharkhand Assembly, the Speaker suspended three BJP MLAs Biranchi Narayan, Jai Prakash Bhai Patel and Bhanu Pratap Shahi from the House for the entire session.

On the fourth day of the session, the three MLAs suspended from the House have camped at the main gate of the Assembly.

Biranchi, Bhanu and Jai Patel, all three are sitting on dharna with mattress, bedsheet and pillow.

Bhanu Pratap Shahi said that if we raise our voice for the rights of the youth in the House, we are suspended.

This is like violating democracy and the Constitution.

He said that when BJP government will be formed and Babulal Marandi will take oath as the Chief Minister, those who are misusing power today would be shown their place.

He said that Hemant Soren sacrificed three MLAs to please his masters.

BJP MLA Biranchi Narayan said that this government is anti-youth. He said it is anti-unemployed.

He added that Hemant Soren’s government is busy counting notes and running scams. This government has committed a scam worth several thousand crores in four years. The work has been done to cheat people of every class.

He also added that when we asked questions inside the House, we were suspended.

He further asked whether he hadused shoes and slippers. He said that they made the demand in a constitutional manner and only went to the well.

If going to the well is unconstitutional, then what will the opposition MLAs do?

He said that it seems that Hemant Soren has sacrificed three MLAs on the lines of Delhi to please his masters. But we will not give up.

Withdraw our suspension and improve the functioning of the House.

BJP MLA Jaiprakash Bhai Patel said that 75% of the youth of Jharkhand were given false assurance of providing jobs. Only 6000 youth got jobs. The rest of the youth are distressed.

He said that today we are protesting at the main gate of the Assembly against the one-sided action of the Speaker. Work is being done by targeting us. Withdraw our suspension and improve the working style of the House.
