Himanta Biswa Sarma Meets Tribal Leaders and Discusses BJP’s Strategy
In the aftermath of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s release from jail, BJP Co-Incharge and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma arrived in Jharkhand for a series of crucial meetings.
RANCHI – Following the release of former Chief Minister Hemant Soren from jail, BJP Co-Incharge and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Jharkhand, landing at Ranchi Airport.
He engaged with tribal leaders and key BJP figures to discuss party strategies.
Sarma first visited Sita Soren’s residence, meeting her daughters, before proceeding to meet BJP ST Morcha National President and former MP Sameer Oraon, former IPS officer and BJP leader Dr. Arun Oraon, and Sudarshan Bhagat.
He also met with former Union Minister Arjun Munda and former MP Geeta Koda.
Meetings and Discussions
Sarma held several meetings with BJP’s Mahila Morcha and Yuva Morcha leaders and workers.
During a media interaction, he dismissed the conspiracy theory behind Hemant Soren’s arrest, emphasizing that corruption and crime are rampant in Jharkhand.
"The BJP is not concerned with the daily jail admissions and bails. The real issue is the rampant corruption and crime, including paper leaks," he stated.
Political Strategy and Key Issues
Sarma highlighted the importance of addressing key issues such as unemployment, infiltration, and development.
He pointed out the challenge of preventing infiltration in Santhal and stopping ‘love jihad,’ emphasizing that it is a priority in BJP’s manifesto.
"Stopping illegal infiltration and ensuring that tribal girls are not wrongly influenced is crucial," Sarma added.
Strengthening the Organization
At the BJP state office, Sarma conducted a meeting with state leaders, including State President Babulal Marandi, former Union Minister Arjun Munda, Leader of Opposition Amar Bauri, MPs BD Ram, and Deepak Prakash, and MLA CP Singh.
The focus was on strengthening the party organization and strategizing for upcoming elections.
Reception and Future Plans
Sarma was welcomed by former District President Dinesh Kumar at the airport.
Kumar shared photos of the event on social media, highlighting his inclusion in the 10-member committee for the Vijay Sankalp Sabha.
The committee will organize BJP rallies in all assembly constituencies of Kolhan division, with Kumar responsible for these events alongside former MP Geeta Koda.
Sarma’s visit also included meetings with senior leaders at the Ranchi party office, where strategies for the upcoming elections were formulated.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma emphasized the BJP’s commitment to winning the assembly elections in Jharkhand.
