Key Points:

  • Traffic inspection conducted across major city areas

  • Appeal made to citizens to follow parking rules

JAMSHEDPUR – To streamline traffic in Jamshedpur, a rigorous inspection drive was conducted for the second consecutive day under the directives of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ananya Mittal. The campaign, led by Dhalbhum Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Shatabdi Majumdar, targeted key areas including Sakchi Roundabout, near Gopal Maidan in Bistupur, and Bistupur Main Road.

During the drive, 50 vehicles—comprising two-wheelers, four-wheelers, and auto-rickshaws—were penalized for violating no-parking regulations.

Improving Traffic Conditions

SDO Shatabdi Majumdar noted visible improvements in traffic conditions but emphasized the need to achieve completely congestion-free roads. “Residents must act as responsible citizens by avoiding no-parking zones. Fines will be imposed if violations continue,” she warned.

Joint Efforts by Officials

The inspection team included Executive Magistrate Chandrjeet Singh, Motor Vehicle Inspector Suraj Hembram, Traffic Inspector Manoj Kumar, and other officials and staff.

Authorities continue to urge citizens to cooperate in maintaining smooth traffic flow by parking vehicles responsibly to avoid penalties.
