Tata Steel sets foundation for new canteen Trolley Point and rest area at Lime Plant, enhancing staff welfare facilities.
JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel has initiated a significant upgrade to its Lime Plant facilities with the foundation stones laid for a new canteen Trolley Point and a rest area, addressing long-standing staff needs.
The previous canteen trolley point, dismantled about one and a half to two years ago due to deteriorating conditions, had created considerable inconvenience for the workforce.
Recognizing the urgent need for these facilities, committee members persistently advocated to the management for improvements.
Sanjeev Kumar Choudhary (Tunnu Choudhary), President of the Tata Workers Union and a committee member from the same department, played a pivotal role in pushing for these developments.
The foundation stone ceremony for the new restroom was a significant milestone, marking the approval of the project.
Key Tata Steel executives, including Vice President of Steel Manufacturing Chaitanya Bhanu, Vice President of HRM Atrai Sanyal, Chief of Long Product Vineet Shah, and Chief of Lime Plant Rajiv Malhotra, attended the event.
Committee members Rajesh Kumar and Rishabh Shukla, along with staff and police members, were also present.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from JDC Vice Chairman Praveen Dheeraj Khalkho.
These upgrades at the Lime Plant demonstrate Tata Steel’s commitment to improving workplace conditions and catering to the diverse needs of its workforce.
