Former Jharkhand BJP President Honors Rescued Workers from East Singhbhum

Dr. Dineshanand Goswami meets and honors workers rescued from Uttarakhand tunnel, expressing gratitude to rescue teams and government.

JAMSHEDPUR – Former Jharkhand state BJP president Dr. Dineshanand Goswami today met with six workers from Manikpur village, under Dumaria block of East Singhbhum district, who were recently rescued from the Silkyara Tunnel in Uttarakhand.

Goswami took the opportunity to inquire about the workers’ well-being and honored them for their resilience and strength during the ordeal.

During the meeting, the workers expressed their deep gratitude towards Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, as well as the entire rescue team, for their efforts in ensuring their safe extraction from the tunnel.

The Silkyara Tunnel incident had garnered significant attention, highlighting the risks faced by workers in such challenging environments.

The rescue operation was a complex effort involving multiple teams and showcased the effectiveness of India’s disaster response capabilities.

He said that the it is a matter of great relief that the government has promised to continue ongoing support and recognition given to workers who find themselves in hazardous situations, and the importance of safety measures in such projects.

Dr. Goswami said that BJP has always shown continued commitment to the welfare of workers and their families, especially in times of crisis.

He said that the efforts made by the agencies and the BJP-led governments is a significant morale booster for the workers and highlights the importance of political support in post-rescue scenarios.
