Adra Division Upgrades Impact Train Schedules in December
Adra Division’s Developmental Works Lead to Train Cancellations and Diversions
JAMSHEDPUR – South Eastern Railway has announced significant changes in train operations due to developmental works in the Adra Division.
The Asansol-Adra-Asansol MEMU Special, scheduled for December 5, 2023, has been cancelled.
The Asansol-Purulia-Asansol MEMU Special, also commencing on December 5, 2023, will now terminate and originate from Adra, not reaching Purulia.
Similarly, the Tatanagar-Asansol-Barabhum MEMU Special, set for the same date, will follow the revised route with Adra as its terminus and starting point.
The Adra-Midnapur-Adra MEMU Special will see varied changes; on December 5, 8, and 10, 2023, it will be short terminated/originated from Bankura.
On December 7 and 9, 2023, the same train will be modified to start and end at Chandrakona Road.
Furthermore, the Tatanagar-Hatia Express, with journeys beginning on December 4, 6, 8, and 9, 2023, will be diverted via the Chandil-Gunda Bihar route.
These changes are part of the broader efforts by the railway authorities to upgrade and maintain the infrastructure in the Adra Division, ensuring safer and more efficient rail travel in the future.
