Chakradharpur Railway Division celebrates 68th Railway Week with awards and ambitious plans.
94 railway workers recognized for outstanding performance at Chakradharpur Railway Division.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Chakradharpur Railway Division marked its 68th Railway Week celebration with a grand event at the Officers Club Chakradharpur, where 94 railway employees were lauded for their exemplary work performance.
DRM Arun Jatoh Rathod bestowed medals upon the honorees in a ceremony that underscored the railway’s ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation.
During the event, DRM Nape highlighted the division’s ambitious projects, including the launch of one thousand Amrit Bharat trains and the introduction of high-speed trains capable of reaching 250 km per hour, with the Vande Bharat trains leading the initiative. This marks a significant step towards the export of technology, showcasing the railway’s advancements on a global stage.
The division’s achievements were also spotlighted, with a record loading of 134.14 million tonnes until February 2024, representing a 2.77 percent increase over the previous year. The revenue from goods loading reached Rs 11981.79 crore, up by 2.94 percent, reflecting the division’s robust financial health and operational efficiency.
Among the departments recognized were Engineering, General Administration, Account, Commercial, Education, various Electrical departments, Mechanical, Security, Signal and Telecommunication, and several others. Each department’s select employees were honored for their contributions to the railway’s success.
The ceremony also acknowledged individuals from the Mandal Cultural Organization, Scouts and Guides, Sports, Store, Saint John Ambulance, Union, ZRTI Seeni, Health, Operating, Personnel, and Security departments, highlighting the diverse areas of achievement within the railway division.
Additionally, 10 inter-divisional awards were presented, recognizing outstanding contributions across multiple railway divisions, further illustrating the collaborative effort and dedication prevalent within the railway community.
The 68th Railway Week celebration not only served as a platform to honor individual and team excellence but also provided a glimpse into the railway’s future direction, emphasizing innovation, safety, and service enhancement.
