South Eastern Railway Meeting: MPs Discuss Development in Ranchi
Ranchi meeting with South Eastern Railway GM focuses on rail development.
RANCHI – A key meeting between members of Parliament from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha and Anil Kumar Mishra, General Manager (GM) of South Eastern Railway, took place in Ranchi on Wednesday.
The Divisional Committee meeting of Ranchi and Chakradharpur Divisions saw the attendance of nine MPs, although Jamshedpur MP Vidyut Varan Mahato was notably absent.
Presided over by MPs Sudarshan Bhagat and Deepak Prakash, the meeting focused on enhancing railway services and infrastructure.
MP Mahua Maji, along with Singhbhum MP Geeta Koda, Sanjay Seth, Chandrani Murmu, Mamta Mohanta, Sameer Oraon, and Aditya Prasad, were among the attendees.
GM Anil Kumar Mishra welcomed the MPs, expressing gratitude for their support and cooperation with South Eastern Railway.
The MPs commended the railway’s performance and pledged their continued cooperation.
Key discussions included train services, stoppages, cleanliness, and the early completion of railway projects.
The MPs provided valuable suggestions for developing the railway infrastructure in the Ranchi and Chakradharpur divisions.
Topics such as new trains, additional stoppages, construction of new lines, road overbridges, underpasses, train frequency, service expansion, and station upgrades were discussed.
Mishra briefed the MPs on South Eastern Railway’s performance in freight and passenger segments for the current financial year, highlighting passenger amenities and eco-friendly measures.
He assured that the MPs’ suggestions for passenger facilities and infrastructure development would be prioritized.
Divisional Railway Manager Jasmeet Singh Bindra, Chakradharpur DRM Arun Jatoh Rathore, and chief department heads also participated.
In a separate meeting, Anil Kumar Mishra, along with DRM Jasmeet Singh Bindra and Senior DCM Nishant Kumar, met Chief Minister Hemant Soren to discuss railway development in Jharkhand.
Principal Secretary Vandana Dadel and Secretary Vinay Kumar Choubey were also present.
These meetings underscore the collaborative efforts towards enhancing railway infrastructure and services in Jharkhand, reflecting the region’s commitment to development and passenger convenience.
