Central Executive Meeting Emphasizes Membership Growth and Branch Strengthening

In a Central Executive meeting held at the Tatanagar Railway Institute auditorium on April 8, 2024, the South Eastern Railway Men’s Union resolved to fully support the Railway Men’s Union in their fight for the Old Pension Scheme under the banner of the All India Railway Men’s Federation (AIRF).

JAMSHEDPUR – The South Eastern Railway Men’s Union convened a Central Executive meeting in Tatanagar, where members unanimously decided to back the Railway Men’s Union in their ongoing struggle for the Old Pension Scheme, led by the AIRF.

Gautam Mukherjee, Vice President of the All India Railway Men’s Federation, emphasized the importance of increasing membership to fortify the union’s branches during the meeting held at the Tatanagar Railway Institute auditorium on April 8, 2024.

"All branch secretaries and zonal representatives should work diligently and contribute to the organization to achieve this goal," Mukherjee stressed.

Malay Banerjee, Central President of the Eastern Railway Men’s Union, and Ashish Mukherjee, General Secretary, urged union officials to actively engage with employees and strive to resolve their issues by collaborating with the administration.

The meeting also provided information about the upcoming release of a postal stamp commemorating the Federation’s (AIRF) centennial anniversary.

"We encourage all members to participate in the program to be held in New Delhi on April 24, 2024, to mark this significant milestone," the leaders appealed.

Central Vice President of the Railway Men’s Union Shivji Sharma, Additional Central Vice President Jawaharlal, and Ranchi Divisional Convenor Deepak Kumar expressed their solidarity with the fight for the Old Pension Scheme under the AIRF banner.

Chakradharpur divisional coordinator MK Singh expressed gratitude to all attendees and pledged to work tirelessly to implement the organization’s roadmap on the ground.

"I am committed to translating the union’s vision into tangible actions and ensuring the welfare of our members," Singh affirmed.

The meeting concluded with a strong sense of unity and determination to secure the rights and benefits of railway employees, particularly in the context of the Old Pension Scheme.
