Jamshedpur Police’s swift action leads to the arrest of three snatchers, recovery of looted items including mobiles, cash, and the bike used in the crimes.

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur Police has made significant headway in tackling snatching incidents that marred the festive spirit of Dhanteras on November 10 in the Telco police station area.

ASP Sumit Aggarwal, in a press briefing, detailed these developments.

Two separate snatching incidents were reported near Bhuvaneshwari Temple and Telco Gurudwara, executed by two individuals on a numberless bike.

Victims Sushil Kumar Das from Birsanagar and Amrita Kumari Gupta from Lotus Vivekananda Garden, Govindpur, had filed FIRs regarding the snatching of their mobile phones and purses.

The combined efforts of the Telco and Birsanagar police station teams led to the swift arrest of Sunny Singh alias Bachkani from Vidyapati Nagar Shiv Mandir, Sidhgora and Manish Rajak alias Kallu from Bhuiandih, Sidhgora.

Interrogations revealed crucial information leading to the recovery of the snatched mobile phones, the clothes worn during the crimes, the bike used, and a portion of the stolen cash.

In a subsequent development, Rohit Kumar alias Bonga, who provided the numberless bike, was also apprehended from his rented residence in Bhuiyandih Lakdi Tall.

These arrests mark a significant step in combating the rise in snatching incidents in the region.
