Judicial Order for FIR Against Beauty Parlor Operator in Jamshedpur
Privacy Breach at Matrona Beauty Parlor Leads to Legal Action
A local court directs FIR registration against a beauty parlor in Jamshedpur for recording objectionable videos in the changing room.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant legal move, First Judicial Magistrate Jyotsna Pandey has mandated the registration of an FIR against G Kaur, operator of Matrona Beauty Parlor in Sonari’s Kagalnagar market, following allegations of privacy invasion.
The court’s decision responds to a complaint from a local resident, accusing the beauty parlor of recording objectionable videos in the girls’ changing room.
The incident came to light when the complainant’s newlywed wife, who was at the parlor for bridal makeup, discovered CCTV cameras capturing footage of her changing clothes and other private activities.
After the police failed to act on their complaint, the couple turned to advocate Ravi Shankar Pandey for legal assistance.
Under Section 156(3) of the Indian Penal Code, the court has now ordered the police to proceed with an FIR against the beauty parlor operator.
Advocate Pandey underscored the importance of stringent action against such violations, emphasizing the need for a safe and respectful environment for women, which he deemed crucial for societal and national well-being.
