JAMSHEDPUR – Early Sunday morning, unidentified assailants opened fire at the residence of one Salman, accused in many cases, of Agrico Road No. 3, under the Sitaramdera police station area. Although the attack caused no injuries, it created panic in the area.

Salman’s brother, Arman, recounted the incident. Around 4 AM, they heard sudden gunfire. “My mother, Sangeeta Khalkho, who is on leave from police duty, was boiling water when the shots were fired. We saw a car speeding away,” Arman was reported saying.

The Sitaramdera police team, led by the station in-charge, arrived immediately to investigate. They found three bullet marks on the walls, while one bullet shattered a windowpane and entered the house.

DSP Bhola Prasad also visited the site and supervised the investigation. Police recovered three bullet casings and a pellet from the location. Authorities are exploring possible angles, including rivalries involving Salman.

Meanwhile, police are examining CCTV footage and questioning witnesses to identify the attackers. The incident has left residents concerned about rising criminal activities in the area.

Further investigations are ongoing to track down those involved in the firing. Increased police presence is expected in the locality to maintain security.
