Tata Steel Kalinganagar Wins Inter Divisional Football Tournament

Three-day Event Witnessed Over 310 Players, Tata Steel Reinforces Commitment to Sports and Camaraderie

Tata Steel’s Inter Divisional Football Tournament Concludes with Kalinganagar’s Victory; 19 Units Participated

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel’s Sports Department organized an Inter Divisional Football Tournament that took place from August 22 to 24 at the Armoury Ground and Tinplate Sports Complex.

Hemant Gupta, Head Adventure Program and Sports at Tata Steel, was the Chief Guest for the event, while Dronacharya Awardee Purnima Mahato was the Guest of Honor during the prize distribution ceremony.

A total of 19 Units of Tata Steel participated in the tournament, with over 310 players showcasing their talent.

Tata Steel Kalinganagar emerged as the Winner of the competition, followed by Steel Manufacturing as the runner-up, and Iron Making as the 2nd runner-up.

The technical officials for the tournament were Saptam De, Jogesh Sharma, and Md. Shafique.

Promoting fair play and adherence to the rules, the tournament was reflective of Tata Steel’s commitment to promoting sports and fostering camaraderie among its workforce.

The event provided a significant platform for employees to showcase their abilities and engage in friendly competition.

It also highlighted the organization’s continuous effort to create an environment that encourages sportsmanship and teamwork.
