MLA Mangal Kalindi Advocates for Santali Medium in Meet with CM
Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi discusses promoting Santali language in schools and a Santhali Academy with Jharkhand’s CM Hemant Soren.
JAMSHEDPUR – A crucial meeting was recently held in Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi.
Jugsalai assembly member Mangal Kalindi and Jharkhand’s Chief Minister Hemant Soren came together for a discussion.
The key topic was the promotion of the Santali language in the state’s education system.
This proposal was originally put forth by local groups like Olchiki Hul Baisi and Majhi Pargana Mahal Asanbani Toraf-Ghad Dishome.
Their demands were clearly articulated in a letter presented to the Chief Minister by MLA Kalindi.
This request was primarily about the publication of textbooks in Santali (using the Olchiki script) for elementary level teaching.
Additionally, they called for reinstating teachers of the language and establishing a Santhali Academy as per the New Education Policy 2020.
MLA Kalindi expressed his agreement with these demands and demonstrated his commitment to uplift the Santali language instruction in the state.
