Kargil Victory Day: Sainik Samman Yatra Held in Jamshedpur
Kargil Victory Day sees Sainik Samman Yatra in Jamshedpur, honoring brave Kargil War soldiers.
JAMSHEDPUR – Today marks Kargil Victory Day.
On this day in 1999, the Indian Army defeated Pakistan, securing a win in Kargil.
To honor the martyred soldiers and the brave servicemen of the Kargil war, victory processions are being organized across the country.
In Jamshedpur, the social organization Namya Smile Foundation led a Sainik Samman Yatra.
This procession started from Mango Gandhi Maidan, passing through various intersections of the city, and concluded at the Golmuri Martyr’s place.
The yatra was led by Kunal Sarangi, former MLA from Baharagora and a BJP leader.
Before the commencement of the yatra, the foundation honored ex-servicemen and veterans of the Kargil War.
Hundreds of youth and civilians from all over the city participated in this Sainik Samman Yatra, expressing their gratitude to the soldiers of Kargil.
During the procession, the city echoed with praises of Bharat Mata.
