Pilgrimage to Goa for Christians in Jharkhand Requires Age and Residency Criteria

Seventy Christians from East Singhbhum to embark on a Goa pilgrimage under JTDCL scheme

A special pilgrimage to Goa is being organized for Christians in Jharkhand, targeting senior citizens from the BPL category.

RANCHI – The Jharkhand government is organizing a pilgrimage for Christians in Jharkhand, sending seventy participants from East Singhbhum to Goa.

Applications are being accepted for a pilgrimage to Goa for Christians in Jharkhand, organized by the Jharkhand Tourism Development Corporation Limited (JTDCL).

The journey is scheduled for the last week of June.

Eligibility requires applicants to be over 60 years old, permanent residents of Jharkhand, and fall under the BPL category.

Applicants must not have availed of this facility previously.

To apply, one must fill out two prescribed forms and attach an original medical certificate, two photographs, and a Fit for Travel Certificate.

These documents must be submitted to the nearest Block Office and District Sports Office, East Singhbhum, Jamshedpur, by June 20, 2024.

Pilgrims will be selected by a district-level selection committee, with priority given to early applicants.

If the number of applicants exceeds the available slots, a waiting list comprising 10% of the prescribed number will be prepared.
