Ex-CM Madhu Koda Warns SAIL Against Forced Eviction of Labourers

Ex-Chief Minister Madhu Koda stands with locals, warning Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) against any forced evictions of long-time residents from its lease area.

CHAIBASA – Madhu Koda, former Chief Minister, has taken a firm stance against the proposed eviction of laborers and local people living within the lease area of the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).

Koda, supported by hundreds of locals, attended a meeting held by the SAIL company, expressing his strong opposition to the eviction initiative.

He warned the SAIL management of a potential mass movement if they proceed with the forced removal of laborers and their families, who have been living in the area for over 70 years.

Koda argued that such a move would not only be a violation of the rights of the long-time inhabitants, but it would also stir significant community unrest.
