Ghatshila Marwari Mahila Samiti Organizes Annual Rakhi Mela, Attracts Local Artisans
15 artisan booths showcase a diverse range of products at Marwari Mahila Samiti’s annual Rakhi Mela, continuing a 25-year-old tradition in the Marwari Panchayati Dharamshala.
GHATSHILA – The Marwari Mahila Samiti’s Rakhi Mela was inaugurated on Friday at the Ghatshila Marwari Panchayati Dharamshala, with 15 artisan booths set up showcasing a variety of goods.
Artisans from Medinipur, Jamshedpur, Chaibasa, Belda Chadil, and Jaduguda participated in the fair, presenting a diverse collection of items, including Rakhi, beads, silver jewelry, kurtis, sarees, artificial jewelry, gifts, Laddu Gopal decorations, costumes, and more.
This annual event, organized by the Mahila Samiti for over a quarter of a century, aims to provide convenience for all involved.
The official opening of the program was signified by a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, conducted by the committee’s members.
Founder member Shakuntala Agarwal, National Environment Head Anita Agarwal, Extension Head Usha Agarwal, Branch President Sunita Agarwal, Secretary Rashmita Agarwal, Co-Secretary Neelam Agarwal, Treasurer Madhu Agarwal, and other members including Meena Didi, Manju Agarwal, Sujata Agarwal, Babita Jain, Santoshi Jain, Kiran Agarwal, Kamla Agarwal were all in attendance.
