Tata Steel Opens First Fully Automated Construction Service Center in Odisha

Tata Steel’s first-ever fully automated construction service center in Odisha marks a significant milestone in revolutionizing the construction industry and reinforcing the company’s commitment to innovation and excellence.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel, a leading player in the Indian steel and construction solutions industry, has announced the inauguration of its first fully automated construction service center in Odisha.

The state-of-the-art facility spans across 11 acres in Tangi, Cuttack, and was developed in collaboration with Sagar Business Private Limited, a channel partner of Tata Steel.

Automating the Construction Industry

The new service center is equipped with advanced automatic manufacturing facilities and boasts a production capacity of 3000 TPM for customized Cut & Bend rebars, Coupler threading, and Welded Wire Mesh.

The inauguration event was marked by a customer meet in Bhubaneswar, attended by around sixty customers from various sectors, Tata Steel executives, and members of the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) community in Odisha.

Pioneering Sustainable Construction

Ashish Anupam, Chairperson, Marketing & Sales, Long Products, Tata Steel, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating that automation is a transformative force driving unprecedented growth in the construction sector.

This innovative center aims to revolutionize the reinforcement application in the construction sector and meet the increasing infrastructure demand in Odisha.

Future of Construction

The launch event included insightful talks from industry experts discussing the future of construction and modern construction technologies.

Speakers included Adam Jordan, Asia Pacific lead at Bryden Wood, Australia, and Yogesh Prabhakar Kajale, Senior VP (Engineering) at B. G. Shirke Construction Technology Private Limited.
