Tata Steel Marks Sustainability Month End with ‘Satva- Resonance of Life’ Event Featuring Grammy Winner Ricky Kej
Event aimed at instilling importance of balance and harmony for a sustainable existence
Jamshedpur – Tata Steel marked the conclusion of its Sustainability Month with an event titled “Satva – Resonance of Life” held at the Fasy Auditorium, Loyola School, Jamshedpur.
The star-studded event featured performances by three-time Grammy Award winner, Ricky Kej, and the Mayurbhanj Chhau dance troupe from Project Chhauni.
Rajiv Mangal, Vice President (Safety, Health & Sustainability), Tata Steel, served as the Chief Guest for the event, and Shailesh Kumar Singh, Deputy President, Tata Workers Union, attended as the Guest of Honour.
The proceedings began with a performance by Ricky Kej and his troupe. The Grammy winner, also a well-known environmentalist, showcased compositions grounded in sustainability and environmental conservation themes.
Following this was a panel discussion featuring Kej and Subhoshree Mukherjee, the founder of Project Chhauni.
They shared their views on sustainability and how they have combined their passion for music and dance, respectively, to promote environmental awareness.
The event concluded with a Chhau dance performance by Project Chhauni. Over 1,000 participants were in attendance, including school students, Tata Steel employees, representatives from Tata group companies, and esteemed guests from the local community.
The event was a part of Tata Steel’s Sustainability Month, celebrated every June across all Tata Group companies to promote sustainability awareness.
This year’s theme was “Adopting Sustainable Lifestyle”, and the company had organized numerous activities and sessions throughout the month for employees and the community.
The closing event “Satva – Resonance of Life” emphasized the importance of balance and harmony for a sustainable existence among Jamshedpur’s citizens.
