JAMSHEDPUR – In a swift operation, the Parsudih police have solved a theft case within just six hours. The incident took place at the home of Rajkumar Tanti, a resident of Sarjamda in Jamshedpur, which falls under the Parsudih police station jurisdiction.

S Munda, another resident of Sarjamda, has been arrested in connection with the case.

On June 24, Rajkumar Tanti and his entire family had left for Begusarai to attend a ceremony at his in-laws’ house.

On June 27, Tanti was informed about a theft at his house by his neighbours. The family only managed to return home on June 29, whereupon they discovered that the house had been ransacked. Thieves had made off with a laptop, several important documents, and gold and silver ornaments, totalling a value of about two lakhs.

The Parsudih police swiftly launched an investigation upon receiving the complaint. The investigation led to the arrest of S Munda.

According to the police, Munda had observed the Tanti family leaving their home and took advantage of the empty house.

He allegedly entered the house through the roof and stole the laptop, induction stove, cash, jewelry, and household items.

During the course of the investigation, Munda confessed to the theft. He has no prior criminal record, and the police stated that this crime appears to be a first-time offense committed after careful planning. All the stolen items have been recovered following Munda’s arrest.
