The three-page letter, written in Bangla, contained not only abusive language but also death threats.

The letter was purportedly signed by a Maoist.

On Thursday, officials from the union, along with Zilla Parishad member Khagen Chandra Mahato, accompanied Deepak Kumar Mudi to Kamalpur police station, where a written complaint was filed.

Dhiranjan Kumar, the Station in-charge, after reviewing the incident, registered the case and initiated an investigation.
