India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has flagged off the Vande Bharat Express train between Ranchi and Patna online, to enhance inter-capital commute in the region.
RANCHI – Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Vande Bharat Express train, operating between the capital of Jharkhand, Ranchi, and Patna.
The train, designed to cover the distance between these two points in six hours, was flagged off via an online event.

Present at the ceremony in Ranchi were several prominent figures, including Governor CP Radhakrishna, Union Minister Annapurna Devi, MP Sanjay Seth, Jayant Sinha, Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash, Aditya Sahu, and Mahua Maji.
The introduction of this train service will facilitate those traveling between these two capital cities.
Running at speeds of approximately 120-160 km/h, the fare for the chair car has been set at Rs. 1175 and the executive class at Rs. 1775.
To celebrate the inauguration, free travel from various stations is being provided to school children.
Train number 22350, departing from Ranchi for Patna, will depart Ranchi railway station at 4.15 pm and is scheduled to reach Patna at 10.05 pm, passing through Mesra, Barkakana, Hazaribagh, Koderma, and Gaya.
Similarly, Train 22349 will depart Patna for Ranchi at 7.00 am, reaching Ranchi at 1 pm, after stopping at Gaya, Koderma, Hazaribagh, Barkakana, and Mesra.
