Bagbera Tuition Teacher Accused of Sexually Assaulting 5-Year-Old

A tuition teacher, assisted by a woman, allegedly sexually assaulted a five-year-old girl in Bagbera, sparking public outrage and prompting police action.

JAMSHEDPUR – A horrifying case of child abuse has come to light in Bagbera, where a tuition teacher is accused of raping a five-year-old girl.

The incident has caused a public outcry, with locals demanding swift justice.

The girl’s mother has lodged a complaint against two individuals – the tuition teacher identified as Vishu and a woman named P Devi, at the Bagbera police station.

The police are preparing for a medical examination of the minor.

Accusations Against the Duo

It is alleged that the teacher, under the pretense of providing education, abused the child, assisted by P Devi.

The teacher also threatened the girl with death, ensuring her silence, while P Devi is believed to have played a role in the girl’s torment.

Police Raids in Progress

In response to the complaint, police have begun raiding the residences of both accused. However, they remain elusive.

Details of the Incident

The crime reportedly took place on March 29. The girl, who had been complaining about body pain, revealed her ordeal to her mother, leading to the lodging of the police complaint.

History of Sexual Crimes

Regrettably, this is not an isolated incident in Bagbera. There have been prior cases of sexual assault on minors, leading to several convictions.

In one significant case, a perpetrator named Firangi Paswan was sentenced to death, which was later converted to life imprisonment.

In response to the string of assaults in 2023, locals have protested at the Bagbera police station, demanding stringent action against the culprits.
