JAMSHEDPUR – Women activists burned effigies of two Congress candidates following their alleged disrespectful comments about female opponents.

The Sanatan Utsav Committee’s women wing led the demonstration against the Congress candidates.

Moreover, protesters targeted both Dr Ajay Kumar from East Jamshedpur and Dr Irfan Ansari from Jamtara.

Furthermore, the demonstrators raised slogans condemning the derogatory remarks.

"Such disrespectful behavior questions their right to use the ‘Doctor’ title," stated a women’s rights activist.

In addition, the protesters demanded public apologies from both candidates.

Meanwhile, the women emphasized that disrespecting female candidates amounts to insulting all women.

However, the incident has intensified the ongoing political tensions in the region.

On the other hand, this protest highlights growing concerns about political discourse standards.
