Jharkhand Punrutthan Abhiyan Protests Development Corridor

On the death anniversary of Birsa Munda, Jharkhand Punarutthan Abhiyan commences a protest against a development corridor from Jharkhand to Odisha’s Kalinganagar.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Jharkhand Punarutthan Abhiyan, a local activist group, has announced a protest against the proposed development corridor that is to be built from Jharkhand to Kalinganagar in Odisha.

The campaign is set to start on the 9th of June, which marks the death anniversary of Dharati Aba Birsa Munda.

The activists’ primary objection is towards the garbage plant planned in Khairbani.

Furthermore, they strongly oppose the development corridor, which is being constructed in partnership with private companies.

According to the activists, this project will involve the acquisition of land from hundreds of villagers, including agricultural land for road widening.

They argue that such a move is unjust and will negatively affect local communities.

The campaign pledges to oppose this development corridor continuously, striving to protect the rights of the local population.
