Tata Steel UISL Announces RRR Conclave on World Environment Day to Tackle Plastic Pollution
Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited (UISL) gears up for its RRR Conclave aimed at reducing plastic pollution and promoting sustainable practices.
JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited (UISL) has announced the hosting of an RRR (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) Conclave, slated for June 5th, 2023.
The event, set to take place at 12.30 noon at Gopal Maidan in Bistupur, commemorates World Environment Day, highlighting the critical issue of plastic pollution.
The conclave also marks the conclusion of the Swachh Bharat Mission Urban campaign “Meri Life Mera Swachh Shahar” led by Tata Steel UISL from May 15 to June 5, 2023.
This initiative emphasizes the importance of cleanliness and sustainability in urban areas, dovetailing with the national aim of creating cleaner and healthier cities.
The RRR Centre in Jamshedpur, launched in partnership with the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC), bolsters these efforts.
Notable attendees at the RRR Conclave will include the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum as the Chief Guest and Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President of Corporate Services at Tata Steel, as the Guest of Honour.
The event underscores the importance of collective action in fostering sustainable practices.
A key feature of the conclave will be the unveiling of an extensive plastic plugging campaign in Basti areas, an endeavor by Tata Steel UISL and JNAC. The campaign intends to counter plastic pollution effectively by reducing plastic consumption, promoting reuse habits, and encouraging recycling practices.
Inviting participation from all quarters, Tata Steel UISL urges individuals to contribute towards reducing plastic waste by adopting the principles of RRR. Outstanding contributions will be acknowledged and awarded during the conclave.
On June 5th, 2023, the campaign can be joined at various locations including Kasidih, Ramdas Bhatta, Bistupur, Sonari, CH Area Baridih, and Burmamines between 7:30 am to 9:30 am.
Tata Steel UISL, in a statement, has encouraged everyone to attend the RRR Conclave and become champions for sustainable practices.
It said that by uniting in the fight against plastic pollution, everyone can help foster cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable cities.
