MP MLA Court Acquits JMM’s Chamra Linda in Code of Conduct Violation Case

Vishunpur MLA Chamra Linda, of the JMM, is acquitted in a government order violation case from 2019 due to lack of witnesses.

Ranchi – The Member of Parliament and Legislative Assembly Court (MP MLA Court) today acquitted Chamra Linda, a Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) MLA from Vishunpur, in a government order violation and election code of conduct case dating back to 2019.

Case number 3617/19 had been registered against Linda at the Gumla police station during the 2019 assembly elections.

The alleged violation had drawn widespread attention and initiated a long court process.

Linda, a prominent figure in local politics, had always asserted his innocence.

Today’s decision came as a relief to the MLA and his supporters.

The court decided in favor of Linda due to the lack of witness testimony.

The absence of concrete evidence also played a significant role in the judgment.

It is a significant victory for Linda, potentially fortifying his position in the Jharkhand political scene.
