JAMSHEDPUR – A fatal road accident and a theft attempt in separate areas triggered concern over safety and law enforcement in the city.

A young man died in a road accident under Birsanagar police limits. Meanwhile, the incident occurred near Baridih Vijay Garden gate number one.

Abhishek Dey was returning home after night duty. However, a trailer carrying iron rods hit his bike.

The vehicle reportedly knocked him down suddenly. Moreover, the trailer ran over him, causing instant death.

The driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle. Meanwhile, locals informed police and helped alert authorities.

Police reached the spot and began investigation. Moreover, the family was informed about the incident.

Abhishek worked in a private job and was returning late. Meanwhile, the accident happened on the last day of the month.

In another case, theft attempts were reported in Sundernagar area of Jamshedpur. Meanwhile, several shops near the police station were targeted.

Thieves attempted break-ins at a paan shop and other stores. Moreover, two puja shops and one ration outlet were also targeted.

However, one accused was caught during the theft attempt. Meanwhile, the shopkeeper alerted others and detained him.

Police recovered a cutter used to break locks. Moreover, other suspects managed to escape from the spot.

Thieves failed to open shutters of some shops. Meanwhile, a larger theft was prevented due to this.

Police arrived soon after receiving information. Moreover, officers questioned shopkeepers and began investigation.

Local traders expressed fear over rising theft cases. Meanwhile, they questioned night patrolling and security measures.

Police are interrogating the arrested accused. Moreover, efforts are ongoing to identify other involved individuals.
