Jamshedpur Excise Dept raids hooch dens in Birsanagar and Sitaramdera, seizes large quantities of illicit mahua liquor
Jamshedpur: The Jamshedpur Excise Department raided hooch dens in Birsanagar and Sitaramdera police station areas and seized large quantities of illicit liquor Saturday.
The department achieved significant success in its fight against illegal liquor production and distribution in the Birsanagar and Sitaramdera police station areas.
Acting on a tip-off, the department conducted raids and seized illegal Mahua liquor.
Under the Birsanagar police station, the department demolished Mahua liquor furnaces, while in the Sitaramdera police station area, the department seized illegal Mahua liquor during the search of a tempo near the bus stand.

The department has seized a total of 6000 kg Java Mahua, 420 liters of Mahua liquor, and a tempo.
Charges have been registered against the absconding persons involved in the illegal liquor trade.
The Jamshedpur Excise Department’s efforts to crack down on illegal liquor production and distribution have seen an uptick in recent times.
