BJP’s Gunjan Yadav condemns Youth Congress demonstration in front of Mahanagar BJP office

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP has condemned the Youth Congress demonstration in front of Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP office on Saturday. Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP president Gunjan Yadav challenged Youth Congress workers to again demonstrate in front of the party office after giving prior information.

Members and supporters of the Congress party are demonstrating around the country in response to the disqualification of membership from Parliament following his conviction in a defamation case of Rahul Gandhi, the former national president of the Congress.

The Young Congress burned Prime Minister Modi’s effigy in front of the Jamshedpur BJP Metropolitan Office on Saturday in a show of protest.

In a news conference on Sunday, the BJP leaders denounced the Congress’s action, reminded them of the emergency, and asserted that the Congress had a track record of suppressing democracy.

Gunjan Yadav, the Mahanagar president of the BJP, also said that while everyone has the right to demonstrate in accordance with the nation’s democratic system, it is very unacceptable for Congress members to show up in front of the Party office without even notifying anybody.

He issued an open challenge to the members of Congress, saying that if they had the guts, they should demonstrate in front of the party headquarters once more and get an appropriate political response.

Congress members were asked by Gunjan Yadav to protest within the confines of democratic etiquette. The latter said that the BJP has no issue with nonviolent demonstrations.
