Kedia-Kavantia Team Wins 11 Key Posts, Third Sweep in a Row

JAMSHEDPUR – The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce elections concluded on Saturday with a decisive victory for the Kedia-Kavantia team.
The biennial polls covered 11 posts. Seven officer positions went unopposed. However, four posts—general secretary, vice president industries, secretary trade and commerce, and secretary PRW—were contested.
A total of 2059 members voted. Of these, 1125 opted for online voting, while 948 voted offline. In all, 42 candidates were in the fray.
However, the Kedia-Kavantia team secured all 30 committee member posts. Punit Kavantia was elected honorary general secretary, defeating Satyanarayan Agrawal Munna.
Meanwhile, Harsh Agrawal became vice president industries. Bharat Makani took the trade and commerce secretary role, while Suresh Sharma Lippu won as PRW secretary.
In contrast, no candidate from Team Sankalp won. The Kedia-Kavantia group marked its third consecutive clean sweep. In the last election, it had defeated the Santhalia team.
This time, Moonka secured 899 votes, while Santhalia received 719, losing by 180 votes. According to officials, voting and counting took place under a fair and transparent process.
A trader present remarked, “The community turned out strongly this year, reflecting increased participation.”
