TNSS to launch ‘begging campaign’, to reach Mumbai to meet Ratan Tata
Jamshedpur: Tisco Nibandhit Shramik Sangh, an organisation of Tata Steel’s registered employee wards, has decided to intensify its agitation to press for employment in the company. TNSS has taken a decision to go on a begging campaign for collecting resources to go to Mumbai to meet the higher officials of Tata Sons in order to apprise them with their issues and viewpoint.
Mohan Pandey, the president of TNSS, said that the registered wards have been disappointed with the response of Tata Workers’ Union as well as district labour department.
He said that in the recently held recruitment process, the registered wards who had crossed the age limit of 40 years, were not considered for recruitment, even while knowing that they have been agitating for employment for the last 20 years.
Mr. Mohan Pandey said that they would start a ‘begging campaign’ to collect resources for their travel to Mumbai. He said that in Mumbai they would meet Ratan Tata himself as well as Mr. N Chandrasekaran to apprise them with their demands. They will also meet other top officials of Tata Sons, he said.
