Accused Sent to Jail by Bistupur Police After Executive Magistrate Lodges Complaint
Rajiv Kumar, accused of impersonating an ACB officer to deceive Executive Magistrate Sudipt Raj, has been arrested and sent to jail by the Bistupur police.
JAMSHEDPUR – On Monday, the Bistupur police arrested Rajiv Kumar, who allegedly posed as an Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officer to try and dupe Executive Magistrate Sudipt Raj, who is posted in the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
Based on Sudipt Raj’s statement, the police have registered an FIR against Rajiv Kumar and commenced an investigation.
DSP CCR Anjani Tiwari stated that Sudipt Raj lodged a complaint against Rajiv Kumar, leading to his arrest.
Rajiv Kumar, a resident of Shiroman Nagar on Mango Dimna Road and originally from Ranchi, is now under investigation for similar fraudulent activities.
During interrogation, significant information was obtained from Rajiv, and the police are investigating how many individuals he has duped using this method.
Various investigative agencies are assisting to determine the extent of Rajiv’s fraudulent activities.
According to Sudipt Raj’s statement to the police, on Sunday, he received a call on his mobile phone from someone claiming to be an ACB officer, who threatened to send him to jail, claiming to have evidence against him.
Shortly after this call, Rajiv Kumar arrived at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, but the police soon took him into custody.
The police are currently investigating the matter further.
