JCB drive against crime in Jamshedpur, 2 shops demolished in Kadma Uliyan

Proactive Admn continues its drive against crime, resorts to mild force on protestors

Jamshedpur: The district administration continued its special drive against crime in the city on the second day Saturday. 3 JCBs were employed to demolish two alleged encroached shops in Uliyan Kadma.

According to the police sources, the drive has been launched to contain crime in the city and send a strict message to those who violated law and order.

However, family members of the accused claimed that the police were harassing them unnecessarily as the shops had nothing to do with the accused members of the family. They said that they were not shown any prior written notice before demolishing the shops.

The administration employed 3 JCBs and demolished two shops, which the police claimed were encroachments.

Two persons named as accused in a case were also arrested from the area.

The police sources said that those who were arrested Saturday included Rajkumar Singh and Akhilesh Singh.

According to the police, they were arrested by the Bistupur police from Kadma Uliyan’s Anil Sur Path area from a shop next to the power substation.

3 JCBs of Jusco were employed for the task.

There was also a strong protest put up by the relatives of the two arrested accused.

The police had to use mild force to quell the protest.

During Ganesh Puja idol immersion near Bailey Bodhanwala garage under the jurisdiction of Bistupur police station recently, a few criminals surrounded one Shaukeet Singh alias Kittu, a resident of Kadma New Ranikudar and attacked him with sharp weapons injuring him seriously in the process.

Shaukeet Singh is being treated at Tata Main Hospital.

On the statement of the mother of the injured, a case was registered against Rajkumar Singh, Raju Singh, Akhilesh Singh, Lalu Singh and others by the Bistupur police.

All the accused in this case were absconding.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, a video related to the incident was released on social media by one accused of the case named as Aman Mishra.

In the said video, he, allegedly, openly challenged the district administration, claiming that no action could be taken against him even after the incident. .

After this, the administration swung into action and on Friday itself, it demolished a shop of Rajkumar Singh located near Kadma New Ranikudar.

Taking action again today, two shops of Raju Singh and Akhilesh Singh were demolished in Uliyan in Kadma.
