Dead body found in ISWP Inder Nagar pond

Deceased was wearing Swiggy T-shirt, yet to be identified

Jamshedpur: There was shock and disbelief in the area near ISWP Inder Nagar Monday morning under the jurisdiction of Telco police after the body of a 35-year-old youth was found in a pond.

The body was found in the pond situated near Inder Nagar Gurdwara.

Telco police reached the spot after receiving information from the locals.

The body was pulled out of the pond.

The deceased youth was wearing a Swiggy delivery boy dress.

The police suspect that the deceased likely was a delivery boy of Swiggy.

The police have started investigations.

The police have sent the body for post-mortem after inquest.

According to the police, they are looking into all angles, including suicide.

The deceased is yet to be identified.

Update: The unidentified body found in the ISWP company pond has been identified as that of Krishna Das, 40-year-old resident of Sidhgora. He was son of Atal Das who lives at New Baridih, Kalu Bagan, Sidhgora.

During preliminary investigations, the police were told that the deceased was under stress due to debt and this may have been a reason for his death.
