81 Students Receive Certification in Vocational Skills at Fr McGrath Centre

JAMSHEDPUR – XLRI’s Fr McGrath Skill Development Centre awarded certificates to 81 underprivileged youth following completion of vocational training programs.

The initiative marks a significant milestone in XLRI’s platinum jubilee year. The program focuses on practical skill development.

“This program embodies our commitment to societal transformation,” remarked a senior faculty member.

Comprehensive Training

Students received training in data entry and communicative English. The curriculum included garment design and technical skills.

Meanwhile, practical internships enhanced their learning experience.

Moreover, training centers in Bhubaneswar and Phulbani expanded the program’s reach.

Cultural Showcase

The certification ceremony featured traditional dance performances. Students demonstrated their English communication skills.

In addition, trainees presented an inspiring one-act play.

Future Vision

XLRI plans to expand the program to more regions. The initiative supports the National Skill Development Mission.

Furthermore, the success has motivated plans for additional vocational courses.

On the other hand, mentors Jerome Sequeira and Biranchi Soreng continue guiding new batches.
