Youth attacked with sharp weapon near Mango Bridge, injured

Jamshedpur: A youth Md. Asif was attacked with sharp weapons near Mango bridge by some unidentified youths in the morning. The attackers escaped after injuring him. Md Asif has been taken to MGMCH and is now under treatment.

According to information received Md Asif’s brother Imran took him to MGMCH where he is being treated and is presently out of danger. He has received severe injuries in the head.

The injured youth Md Asif said that he lives near Kabiria School in Old Purulia Road area.

He works as a false ceiling mechanic in Cuttack.

He had come home by train in the morning.

He was passing alone near the bridge at the time of the incident.

Suddenly a gang of youths arrived there and started assaulting him.

He said that they had a sharp weapon, as well as a wooden board with nails. He said that all started attacking him.

Somehow he saved his life and informed his brother Imran about the incident.

Imran, who reached the site, took the injured to MGM Hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
