3 bogies of goods train derail at Tatanagar, train services impacted

Jamshedpur: Railway services were impacted as three bogies of a goods train got derailed on a track near East Yard main line at Tatanagar railway station.

The derailment Wednesday morning caused a concern as services were impacted.

On receiving the information, a relief train reached the spot and relief work was started.

The derailment is said to have happened at 4 am.

The goods train was coming on the upline to Tatanagar. The accident occurred near the East Yard main line. As it occurred on the main line, the up as well as down line got completely affected. The passengers had to face a lot of problems due to the stoppage of the trains for a few hours.

The reason for the derailment is still being ascertained.

Owing to the derailment of the goods train bogies, the operation of Tata- Hatia Hatia Passenger including Up train, Delhi-bound Purushottam, Utkal, Patna-bound Tata Danapur and Chhattisgarh Durg-bound South Bihar Express remain disrupted. The Sampark Kranti Howrah Gitanjali Ahmedabad train of Odisha also got impacted.

Due to this the route of Howrah-Mumbai Duronto Express and Howrah-Titlagarh Ispat Express was changed too. The relief work is going on in full swing.
