BJP stages silent protest in MGMCH against dysfunctional machines

Jamshedpur: BJP leaders and workers demonstrated against mismanagement in MGM Hospital and staged a silent protest on the hospital premises.

The BJP leaders said that the MGM Hospital is in dire straits as valuable and useful machines worth lakhs of rupees are lying in disuse for want of repair and maintenance.

For now, CRM, CT Scan and other machines, valued in lakhs of rupees, are lying dysfunctional for lack of repair.

The BJP leaders said that the hospital management, or the health department, has not taken any step to ensure that these machines are repaired and are used for the benefit of the patients.

BJP workers staged a silent demonstration against this mismanagement of hospital assets on the hospital premises.

The BJP state spokesman Kunal Sarangi and the president of Mango Jan Sangharsh Samity Vikas Singh led this silent demonstration.

Later, Kunal Sarangi said that at the time of coronavirus pandemic, every state is trying to have a strong health system and functional infrastructure. On the other hand, in Jharkhand, in the very district from where the health minister himself hails, not only Medical Hospital has been shut down, but machines worth lakhs are lying in disuse and the patients have to bear the brunt of this negligence.

He said that if the state government is unable to get the machines repaired, then people would collect donation to get the machines repaired.

BJP leaders also submitted a memorandum to the hospital superintendent.
