Jamshedpur Authorities Intensify Crackdown on Illegal Constructions

JNAC Demolishes Hotel Basement for Violations, High Court Orders Enforcement

In adherence to the Jharkhand High Court’s directives, the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has escalated its enforcement actions against illegal constructions and encroachments in the city, targeting establishments like Hotel Dayal International in Sakchi for misusing spaces contrary to approved plans.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has stepped up its efforts to remove illegal constructions across the city, following a mandate from the Jharkhand High Court.

On Monday, an operation saw the demolition of a commercially used basement at Hotel Dayal International in Sakchi, which was in violation of its sanctioned blueprint.

The basement was being improperly utilized for commercial activities, contrary to its original design for parking.

SDO Parul Singh, who supervised the demolition, confirmed that the actions were in line with the High Court’s stringent directives.

Singh has appealed to the local populace to proactively dismantle any unauthorized structures to avoid legal repercussions.

Further enforcement is planned, with a focus on commercial entities that have altered their structures beyond the approved architectural plans.

Krishna Kumar, the JNAC Suburban Commissioner, emphasized the ongoing commitment to identifying and rectifying illegal constructions.

A specialized survey team is actively assessing ongoing building projects to ensure compliance with legal standards.

This initiative reflects JNAC’s broader strategy to maintain urban planning integrity and lawful development within the city.
