Surprise Inspection Uncovers Major Violations at Center Point Hotel and Hotel Dayal International
SDO Parul Singh’s inspection revealed significant deviations from approved plans, leading to stern warnings and demolition orders to ensure compliance with municipal regulations.
JAMSHEDPUR – On Tuesday, Parul Singh, the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Jamshedpur, carried out an unannounced inspection with the aim of addressing the issue of illegal basement constructions in the city.
The inspection led to serious warnings and orders for immediate demolition of structures that did not meet the requirements.
There were some noticeable deviations from the approved plans discovered at Center Point Hotel in Bistupur.
The SDO, along with JNAC engineers, requested engineers to create a comprehensive map and repair the basement parking facility.
A major violation was discovered at the basement kitchen of Hotel Dayal International in the SNP Area of Sakchi.
Another property in the SNP Area had serious violations, which resulted in the demolition of shops and the clearing of the basement area.
The inspection aimed to tackle violations within the jurisdiction of the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC).
SDO Parul Singh emphasized the importance of following municipal regulations and ensuring the availability of legal parking facilities.
The focus is on promoting safer and legally compliant constructions in the city.
The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee has stated that they are currently taking action against violations. They plan to present their progress in an affidavit to the Jharkhand High Court on June 13.
The SDO asked the JNAC engineer to inspect the basements that were previously demolished to make sure they meet all the necessary regulations.
The inspection emphasizes the administration’s dedication to upholding building codes and ensuring urban safety standards are met.
