Nilachal Iron and Power Donates Road Barriers to Curb District Highway Accidents

In a move to reduce road accidents, Nilachal Iron and Power Limited has donated 20 road barriers to the district police.

JAMSHEDPUR – Addressing a gathering at Kandra Police Station, Superintendent of Police Dr. Vimal Kumar voiced his concerns about the regular accidents occurring on district highways, emphasizing the need for better policing.

In a proactive response, Nilachal Iron and Power Limited extended a helping hand by donating 20 road barriers to the district police.

These barriers were formally presented by GD Bajpai, the General Manager of Nilachal Iron and Power Limited, to Dr. Kumar during a ceremony at the police station.

Dr. Kumar remarked on the initiative, appreciating the corporation’s assistance in their endeavours to make the district’s roads safer.

Assessments are being conducted at various police stations to review the situation, the Superintendent of Police informed.

In addition to infrastructure, the performance and qualifications of the police officers stationed are also being evaluated, indicating a holistic approach to enhance the policing standards in the district.

Several distinguished guests were present at the occasion including Station Officer Pascal Toppo, Ravi Singh from the company’s HR department, Vikas Chaudhary from the CSR department, Vijay Sahu, Union President Tapan Mandal, Union Vice-President Raja Tudu, SI Prakash Kumar, Rahul Kumar, Santosh Urang, ASI Girjesh Kumar, Kishor Munda, and other members of the Kandra Police Station.
