65 Muslim Pilgrims Depart for Ajmer Sharif-Fatehpur Sikri-Agra
Under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme, 65 Muslim pilgrims from East Singhbhum set off for a seven-day pilgrimage to Ajmer Sharif, Fatehpur Sikri, and Agra.
A 65-member group of Muslim pilgrims, including attendants, from East Singhbhum district departed for Ajmer Sharif, Fatehpur Sikri, and Agra under the Jharkhand government’s Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme.
JAMSHEDPUR – Under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme, a 65-member group of Muslim pilgrims from East Singhbhum district was flagged off from the Collectorate premises for a pilgrimage to Ajmer Sharif, Fatehpur Sikri, and Agra.
District Sports Officer-cum-Tourism Nodal Officer Avinesh Tripathi and Priyanka Tiru, Manager of the Tourism Information Center, Jamshedpur, wished the pilgrims a safe and blessed journey and flagged off the bus to Hatia Railway Station in Ranchi.
From Ranchi, the pilgrims will travel by train to Ajmer Sharif, Fatehpur Sikri, and Agra.
The seven-day pilgrimage will take place from August 4 to August 10, 2024.
The Jharkhand government organized this pilgrimage for residents of Jharkhand who are over 60 years old, belong to the BPL category, and are physically fit.
The Jharkhand Tourism Department Corporation and East Singhbhum district administration have made extensive arrangements for the pilgrims.
Anil Kumar, Senior Technician at JREDA, DRDA, will serve as the nodal officer, with Vinita Biruwa, Technical Assistant, accompanying the pilgrims to ensure proper care during the journey.
