JAMSHEDPUR – The administration demolished an illegal apartment complex on Marine Drive, using four JCB machines.
Zonal Officer Manoj Kumar led the operation. “Illegal construction on government land won’t be tolerated,” he stated.
Legal Process
The High Court initially stayed demolition. The stay was lifted after government presented its case.
Meanwhile, the builder received seven days notice. He failed to remove the structure by December deadline.
Moreover, construction continued despite warnings. The builder showed no valid ownership documents.
Property Details
The structure occupied 25 decimals. It was built on Plot No. 55/2797 behind Srinath Residency.
Furthermore, flats were priced at Rs 1.20 crore. Several buyers had paid Rs 20 lakh booking amounts.
Security Arrangements
Police forces supervised the demolition. Quick Response Teams provided additional security.
In addition, Executive Magistrate Sudipt Raj oversaw operations. Kadma Police Station ensured smooth execution.
The action protects government property rights. It sends strong message against unauthorized construction.
