Sikh Sangat stages dharna in farmers’ support

Jamshedpur: Sikh Sangat staged a one day sit-in and dharna on Monday in Jamshedpur in support of farmers’ agitation against farm laws. A large number of citizens took part in the sit-in and expressed solidarity with the agitating farmers in New Delhi.

It may be added that one-day sit-ins and dharnas are being organised in different parts of the country to support the farmers’ protests against the farm law.

The members of Sikh Sangat said the farmers are right in opposing the farm laws. They said that the farmers’ protests are completely justified and the union government is adamant on sacrificing the interests of farmers for the benefit of corporates.

They said that they would continue their protest till the government scraps the new farm laws.

NCP too has extended support to the farmers’ protest in Jamshedpur. Many other political parties including JMM and Congress too are supporting the farmers’ agitation.
