One more arrested in Dhatkidih firing case, raids on for Salman

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur police have arrested one more member of Salman’s gang on Wednesday and sent him to jail in Dhatkidih firing case. The arrested person has been named by police as Sohail Akhtar of Kadma.

According to police sources, this is the fourth arrest. Earlier, the police had arrested Zeeshan, Tauquir and Raees alias Golden and had sent them to jail in the Dhatkidih firing case.

The police are still trying hard to arrest Salman and raids are being made to apprehend him. He is the main accused in Dhatkidih firing case and also leads the so-called ‘mardana gang’. Police say that this gang was also involved in drugs abuse cases.

It may be recalled that on September 5 last, members of mardana gang had assaulted and misbehaved with Abdul Wahid and his family members. When the local residents opposed them, they fired at them. At least 10 to 12 bullets were fired. Md. Mustaqueem and Qayoom had got bullet injuries in the incident.

The police had also found two used cartridges and four live cartridges from the site of occurrence. The police had even seized on motorcycle from the site of occurrence.
