Srishti Mahila Vikas Sahayog Samiti Celebrates Sawan Spirit
Women bring alive traditional Sawan festival, replete with songs, dance, and Solah Singar.
JAMSHEDPUR – The onset of the month of Sawan ushers in a wave of festive spirit, as Srishti Mahila Vikas Sahayog Samiti organizes the Sawan Mahotsav.
With a sense of reverence and joy, women adorned themselves in traditional attire, emboldened by the adornment of the sixteen decorations or ‘Solah Singar’.
The Sawan songs provided a rhythmic backdrop as they swayed, their bodies resonating with the tunes that are symbolic of this auspicious month.
Their worship of Lord Shiva, marked by their song and dance, became a sight to behold for the city.
In an act of sharing and blessings, clothes were distributed among them.
This was not just a celebration, but an enactment of their faith, their dedication evident in their decorated forms and their voices that sang out in unison.
